It’s been a busy few weeks at work. Our team is finishing up a big refactor and I recently finished running a boot camp for some new grads that joined this summer.

During the boot camp, a few folks attending were interested in a recommended reading list. The resulting list was put together quickly, but I was presently surprised at how much I like the list.

The Reading List is meant for young engineers just starting off in their career, or young engineers that know a bit of Rails but are looking to improve their breadth in engineering skills. I’ve tried to annotate each recommendation with why it’s included in the list.

I’ll do my best to keep this up to date. Enjoy!
